When you register, we collect your name, business name and email address. We use these to verify your email and provide your free account. Sign-in records, request information and activity logs help us secure the service and investigate misuse. Account provision is necessary to perform our agreement with you; security and moderation support our legitimate interests in running a safe directory.

Your registration email is not automatically published. Your listing is initially private. You choose the business description, service category, service area, contact details and image links you submit for review. Approved details become publicly visible when you request publication. Public listings can be viewed or copied by others and may be indexed by search engines. You can hide your listing from your account; this does not remove copies already held elsewhere.

When someone sends your business an enquiry, we retain the information they submit so you can read it in your account and respond. The enquiry is available to the receiving business and authorised WedPlanned personnel where needed to operate, support or secure the service. The receiving business is responsible for how it uses the enquiry to offer its own services and for providing its own privacy information. The free inbox links to your email application; replies sent there are processed by your email provider and are not recorded in WedPlanned.

Cloudflare provides hosting and database services. Resend provides verification and notification email delivery. These providers may process information outside the UK. Their standard data processing agreements include international-transfer safeguards, including the applicable UK transfer provisions. If a listing uses externally hosted images, viewing it connects to the chosen image host, which may receive the visitor’s network information.

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. Registration does not enrol you in marketing emails. We do not sell the registration details or enquiry information.

We keep account information while it is needed to provide the account, handle enquiries and fulfil security, dispute or legal obligations. You can contact us to request access, correction, restriction, objection or deletion where applicable, or a copy of your information. Closure and deletion require review; hiding a listing is not the same as deleting the account. Information that must be retained for a specific legal or security reason will be identified when handling the request. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.

Providing the required registration details is necessary to create an account. Listing details are optional until you choose to submit a listing. Publication approval is a human review; a free listing is not a quality endorsement and is not a paid Pro membership.

Free Listing terms

• One business listing and an enquiry inbox are provided without a subscription charge or payment card. There is no automatic paid upgrade.
• You must be authorised to represent the business, provide accurate information and have permission to use any images or other material you submit.
• A listing is published only after review. We may request corrections, reject misleading or inappropriate content, or suspend a listing to address misuse or a substantiated complaint. You can contact us to challenge a review decision.
• A listing does not guarantee search position, enquiries or bookings. A reviewed listing is not an endorsement of the business’s services.
• Enquiries are private to the receiving business and the people authorised to administer or support the service. Use them to respond to the request; do not use the directory or inbox for unsolicited bulk messages.
• Paid quoting, contracts, invoicing, websites, galleries and video delivery are excluded. Any later paid upgrade requires a separate choice and agreement.
• You can hide your listing in your account or contact us about account closure and removal. Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
