Choose how to publish your website and galleries

Organise your public work in the Galleries workspace. Save hosting choices once in WedNav, then reuse an available gallery on your website or in an embed.

Where to startWedNav → Website & galleries

Before you start

  • Decide where to manage gallery content and where your main website will stay. These are separate choices.
  • Live standalone galleries, gallery embeds and WedStudio websites require a plan with Studio publishing access.

Step by step

  1. Review your saved setup

Open WedNav → Website & galleries. The summary shows your saved website route and gallery source. This is the same setup page used by the Business setup journey.

  2. Change and save together

Choose Change setup. Select your main website route: hosted by WedPlanned, your own domain, an existing website or decide later. Choose where galleries are managed and add any external gallery link. For an existing website, enter its platform and address. Choose Save setup to save these choices together; the instructions below then follow your saved setup.

  3. Prepare the public selection

Open WedStudio → Galleries. Use Locations & venues, Moments or Custom galleries to choose and arrange the public photos. Add photos reuses your uploaded client work; Display & publish controls the overview. Private client uploads do not become public automatically.

  4. Share a gallery link or embed

Return to Website & galleries and choose an available gallery. Copy its link to open the standalone gallery on WedPlanned. For a saved existing-website setup, use Galleries: display inside your page to select the gallery and copy its embed code. If your main website is hosted by WedPlanned, open Also use this gallery on another website for the additional embed instructions. Neither option needs a full Studio website. Follow the website-specific instructions in the guide below.

  5. Set up a full website when needed

Create your pages in WedStudio → Website. Choose the same available gallery in Content → Galleries, then review and publish the website. For a saved WedPlanned or custom-domain setup, Website & galleries shows the included address and relevant domain instructions. The custom domain serves the same published website; it is optional.

  6. Share stories on your existing website

Publish the wedding story in WedStudio, select it under Website → Content → Stories and publish the Studio website. In Website & galleries, follow Blogs & stories under your saved setup. Choose the published story and copy its link, or open Get a story link as HTML and choose Copy story link code. Add it to a button, menu or blog post in your existing website, then publish that page.

  7. Check and share

Test your published page on a phone and computer while signed out. Add online booking separately in WedCRM when required; a gallery or website publication does not activate booking.

What happens next

Your public work appears where you choose, with separate control over website hosting, private delivery and online booking.

Share a standalone gallery: Make the gallery available in Studio, choose it in Website & galleries and copy its link. Visitors open the gallery on WedPlanned. Add the link to a button or menu, or share it directly. No full website or domain setup is needed.

Build and host a full website: Create and publish your website in WedStudio. Use the included WedPlanned address, or connect an unused custom subdomain through the wizard in Website & galleries when available. A custom address needs completed verification and HTTPS checks.

Embed in your existing website: With your existing website saved in Website & galleries, open Galleries: display inside your page, select an available gallery and copy its embed code. Add it to a supported HTML block on Squarespace, WordPress, Wix or another website. Keep your main site and domain in place.

Keep a blog on your existing website: Create the post in your own website editor. Manually add your reviewed text and photographs, or use a gallery embed and a link to a Studio-hosted story. Publish the post there. WedPlanned does not automatically create or synchronise posts in WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or other platforms.

Share booking without a website: Publish Online bookings in WedCRM and share the link directly. A website is optional.

Helpful tips

  • Public gallery embeds contain the gallery’s public selection. They do not embed private WedStore galleries, client access controls or downloads.
  • Website & galleries is the single place to change your website route and gallery source. Use Change setup and Save setup; there is no second set of choices to save in Business setup. Edit and publish content in Studio.
  • A ready embed code is not proof it has been installed on another website. Publish and check the page in that website’s own editor.
  • Gallery embed code displays a gallery. Read story code is an ordinary link that opens the Studio-hosted article; it does not embed or copy the article into your blog.
  • Check the gallery’s availability before sharing. Venues need Publish. Active moments and themed custom collections update when saved. Existing photo and video selections keep draft edits until Publish gallery; Take offline removes those selections from public view.
  • Custom-domain setup currently requires an Active Cloudflare domain and supports one custom website address per workspace. If your DNS is elsewhere or setup is unavailable, contact support to review the options.
  • Changing a setup choice does not publish content, replace your existing website or activate a service automatically.

Troubleshooting

The instructions do not match the choices I just changed

Choose Save setup first. Instructions follow the saved setup, so editing the form alone does not change them.

I use Squarespace or WordPress. Are my galleries external?

Only choose an external gallery source when the gallery content is managed by another provider. Your main website platform alone does not determine your gallery source.

I cannot see a live gallery link

Select a gallery in Website & galleries and check it has public photos and your plan includes Studio publishing. Publish a venue or existing photo/video selection; set a moment or themed custom collection to Active. The full website’s Portfolio page also requires the Studio website to be published.

I want the gallery on my own page

For a saved existing-website setup, open Galleries: display inside your page and copy the selected gallery’s code. For a WedPlanned-hosted setup, open Also use this gallery on another website. Do not put a full website URL inside an iframe. Follow Use WedPlanned galleries with your existing website below.

A story is missing from the hub

Check that the story is published and available in Studio, selected in the website’s Stories section, and included in the published website. A story selected only in the website draft does not yet have a live website link.
